Visitors to the Bay Area Discovery Museum at Ft. Baker near San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge are able to enjoy a new 2.5-acre outdoor adventure area called Lookout Cove thanks in part to the efforts of Berkeley, CA-based Scientific Art Studio, Inc. which built a sea cave with tide pools at the site using Rock & Water Creations' GFRC castings! Lookout Cove features natural, cultural and built icons of the Bay Area, including a 100-foot-long shipwreck (based on the 1595 San Augustin shipwreck in Drake's Bay), an "under construction" Golden Gate Bridge replica with 23-foot-tall towers, and a 20-foot-high crow's nest for climbing and enjoying the surrounding view. The interactive play area also features native animal homes and five site-specific artistic works commissioned specially for the cove.
Besides the rock work, Scientific Art Studio's staff also designed the ship, bridge, crows nest, spider webs, dock and other important elements of Lookout Cove. www.ScientificArt-Studio.com
